3D advertisements are banners or stickers placed on the floor or turf beyond the end lines of the field, suited for exhibition on television, where they produce the effect of three-dimensional standing panels, block letters, texts or logos. The most important advantage of 3D advertising is its visual attractiveness. The way TV sports broadcasts are made allows for long-time exhibition of such advertisements. In the case of a broadcast of a football (soccer), volleyball or basketball match, the exhibition time reaches about 70% of the total broadcast time. Due to its specifics, 3D advertisements are designed from scratch for each particular arena or field. The elements taken into account when planning and designing 3D advertisements include: – the size of the field or arena; – the distance, height and angle of the main camera to every square metre of the lying advertisement. The intended effect of the 3D advertisement is visible only through the main camera and only from the place where the measurements were taken (the main camera is required to always stand in the same spot) and the advertisement prints have to be always laid in the same, pre-determined area. We can obtain the desired visual effect through using special computer software to create the above-mentioned 3D advertisements and having completed appropriate trainings.
The rights (the Licence) to use the 3D advertisement project ordered by a customer is sold according to the following rules: – the time of using the 3D advertisement project is specified. It can be one match, a tournament, half a season, one or two seasons. In this period, the design can be altered, which costs 30% of the value of the licence. The costs related to buying the rights – licence for a 3D advertisement do not include the costs related to the production of the advertisement itself. The production costs depend on the price per 1 square metre of the material on which the advertisement is to be printed. The size of the advertising space is known only after measuring the field or arena and preparing a design for the 3D advertisement. The prolongation of the rights – licence to use a previously ordered 3D advertisements for additional periods without changing the design allows for using the advertisement prints already owned by the customer. The training for people who will place the advertisement during sports events is included in the purchased rights – licence to use the 3D advertisement. The space for the placement of the 3D advertisement in particular arenas or fields should be obtained by the customer at the institutions that have the rights to that space during the specific games.
